Travelling can be the utmost solution to vanish unproductivity!!
Are you also a travel enthusiast who is missing those good old days of exploring the world around you, amidst the quarantine? Does the world travel trickles and charges you too with excitement, enthusiasm, and a sense of adventure! Then we are in the same boat during these trying times of isolation and social distancing.
Don’t worry we will surely win in our fight against COVID-19!! But for now, you must be bored to hell and churning out ways to keep yourself engaged and productive during this lockdown. Well, being a travel freak like me, if you are thinking about what you should do sitting indoors, just go grab your phones and laptops and start looking up for your favorite travel destinations and start making your post-lockdown travel plans! Wondering why? Because I have a very important reason to travel. If sitting idle at home has rusted the wheels of our productivity, traveling can be the ultimate solution to grease and rotate those wheels and turn the unfruitful and barren mind-set into the most efficient and productive ones again.
Let’s have a look into a few ways of how traveling can make us more productive!!
1. It can stimulate our brain!!
According to neuroscientists, traveling can stimulate your brain and help form new connections within the cerebral matter. The major reason is that how new experiences are linked with the generation of new dendrites (which are branches that grow from the neurons) within the brain. Dendrites help in the transmission of information from one part of the brain to another. So simply, if you have more dendrites more information reaches the brain.
2. Meeting new people!!
As the quote goes, you are unique just like everyone else in this world. Each one of us is equipped with our own set of skills. And meeting new people during your travels provides you an opportunity to learn something from them. Not everyone comes with the same mindset. So, it might change your perspective towards things and help to bring more positivity to your life, besides adding a plethora of experiences and memories to your already enriched kitty.
3. It gives your mind the much-needed refreshment.
An average person works about 46–50 hours a week and that is enough to strain your brain. Traveling can help your mind take a break from the daily chaos and relax in the lap of nature. In addition, it rejuvenates your body, which has slowly but surely exhausted itself sitting on that desk in the cubicle all day.
4. Getting rid of all the disappointments
We all face disappointments at work. Being criticized by our bosses or not being able to complete the target or facing losses in business, all are part and parcel of our professional lives. But sometimes these little things occupy your mind so badly that it gets difficult for you to work. In such circumstances, traveling can be your savior from that lurking depression. It lets you forget all those previous disappointments and start afresh.
5. You emerge as a better problem — solver.
New countries, new places, and with that comes a new set of challenges. But here you don’t have your consultant to give you a solution. You and only you have to find a way out of those little hiccups. So, by the end of the trip, you have come up with enhanced and diversified abilities and ideas to tackle a situation.
6. Increase in focus and clarity towards work.
Getting away from that monotonous office environment and spending some time in the fresh air revitalizes your senses, increasing the efficiency of work. Traveling leaves you with memories and personal skills like broad-mindedness and decision making. These skills are with you, in the long run, to assist in your work You learn to observe better and have a much clearer approach to your work and no one can stop you from delivering your best at work!!
7. It makes you feel happy and more alive!
Just give yourself a moment and think when do you give your best work? Of course when you are happy!! And traveling does exactly that. When you are back from the trip, you are much happier, positive, and alive than ever, all set to begin the work with loads of energy and vigor.
So guys start making the travel plans, the sooner the better, and as this lockdown gets over, let’s set out again to explore the world and come back with a better and more productive version of ourselves. Until then stay home, stay safe.
