1. How do you briefly describe your past work experience?

In my previous roles, I conducted thorough quality checks and analyses to ensure the meeting of service standards. Additionally, I have experience in HR background verification and conducting comprehensive checks on potential employees.

2. What made you switch from that job to being a VA at Growup? How did you cope with the transition?

While my previous roles in quality analysis and HR background verification provided valuable experience, I sought a more dynamic and client-facing position. Being a Virtual Assistant at Growup offered me a chance to utilize my organizational and communication skills in a diverse range of tasks while building strong client relationships.

3. How has your journey as a VA been so far?

Of course, there have been learning curves and adjustments to remote work, but the support from the Growup team has been invaluable. Overall, it’s been a positive experience that has contributed to my professional growth.

4. What does your typical workday look like?

It usually starts with checking and responding to emails from the Growup team. I then prioritize tasks based on urgency and deadlines. While every day brings new challenges and opportunities, the core of my role revolves around providing efficient and effective support to my organization.

5. What are the new skill sets acquired as a VA? What is the learning curve in virtual work?

New skill sets: digital proficiency, time management and prioritization, adaptability and flexibility, and technical skills. The learning curve in virtual work is that with effective time management, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to new technologies, I was able to overcome these challenges. The flexibility and autonomy offered by virtual work have been rewarding, and I’ve developed a strong sense of independence and responsibility.

6. What is one thing about what you do that makes you excited to get up tomorrow and do it again?

There’s always something new to learn, a problem to solve, or a new learning to dive into. The variety of tasks and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully make my work truly engaging.

7. How has your family supported and adapted to your work?

Their understanding and support have been instrumental in my ability to thrive in this role.

8. What prospects are you looking forward to in your career?

Utilize your organizational and process-oriented skills to manage HR-related projects.

9. What else do you want someone to know about working virtually?

Employees enjoy greater control over their schedules, leading to improved work-life balance and reduced stress.
